In Memory Giving
Losing a loved one is difficult. Every second of their life was precious and you might like to remember them through doing something really positive to celebrate their life.
Through giving to COSMIC in memory of a special friend or family member, you can help us help sick children and their families through the most difficult of times. Your gift in memory of someone special could help hundreds of other lives, which could give you comfort through these hard times.
COSMIC believes every person should be remembered with a day that celebrates their life and your happy memories together. How that day is created is up to each family, and we are lucky enough to have had families collect donations instead of flowers at their loved one’s funeral.
For this generous gesture, COSMIC offer collection tins and donation forms to make giving as easy as possible. Many funeral directors also accept cheques and donations in lieu of flowers, handle the administration and kindly post the funds to COSMIC. Please also see below setting up an online page in memory of a loved one.
In Memory Online
Virgin Money Giving have set up a 'Someone special' page. Here you can create a donation page for a loved one who is ill or going through a challenging time, a donation page in memory of a relative or friend or a donation page for someone who has come through a period of illness and is now going through a recovery process.
Just Giving have set up a Just Giving in Memory scheme. Here you can create a donation page for someone in their memory, or a special profile which displays everyone who decides to donate or fundraise in their name. This is a lovely way to remember someone together whilst making a difference to so many lives through COSMIC.
Gift in your Will
Your Will means that you can look after the future of your loved one. Once you have taken care of those close to you may wish to leave a kind gift to COSMIC to help us help sick children in the future.
Giving a gift in your legacy to help continue the hard work of COSMIC is an important decision that should not be taken lightly. For further guidance and information we recommend for you to look at the Will Aid website or on the HMRC Website.
