Hyde Park Veterinary Centre’s legendary dog show returns with residents and visitors invited to enter their prized pooch in one of the show’s categories that have previously included ‘Dog that looks most likes its owner’ and ‘Puppy with the waggiest tail’. Last years celebrity guest judges, Claudia Winkleman and Jennifer Saunders, proved to be top class canine experts and will be handing over the leads to another ‘very familiar’ face you won’t want to miss – visit the Connaught Village website for further announcements.
Dazzle at your next dinner party thanks to Kurobuta’s Scott Hallsworth who will be taking centre stage on Connaught Street, joined by a great line up of the Village’s top class chefs, to host live cooking demonstrations that will 100 per cent tantalise your tastebuds. In between the dog show and live cooking demos, take a break in our quiet zone on Kendal Street where the Village’s resident beauty experts will be offering mix of therapeutic treats including mini manicures and massages.
The kids will be alright on Porchester Place as it’s transformed into a kids paradise with free craft activities, a dedicated play zone and of course Punch & Judy, plus so much more. Porchester will also host the annual children’s art exhibition run in association with Wetherby Preparatory School and Ravenstone Pre-Prep School. Parents and visitors will see masterpieces created by our local, young artists on display before the winners are announced and rewarded on the main music stage.
This year’s Summer Festival promises to have something on the menu to tempt everyone as the very best of London’s street food scene including Mark Hix’s Fishdog van and Little Jack Horners join village favourites Kurobuta, Bombay Palace, Casa Malveo, Buchanan’s Cheesemongers and Cocomaya to take over Connaught Village with culinary treats.
